Moving Month
It’s September! We’re moving this month! Not going particularly far, staying in our current region, but moving much closer to work to a place that is larger, cheaper, and has an additional bedroom we can use as an office. I am extremely excited about this! It’s better in just about every way!
The downside of this is that this month is going to be a rather busy one. I am not going to have a particular abundance of time to work on my projects (I’m up to like 6… raiding, game dev, writing, web dev, making a simulator… let’s plays…). So this month is going to be on the slower side. Blegh.
On top of that my ADHD is hitting me real badly right now. I can probably safely blame stress for aggravating it. Case in point I have been awake for about 8 hours so far today and conscious for like 2 of them. I’ve literally been sitting here like a zombie. It’s… miserable. Save me from myself.
In very happy news, there was a State of Play today! The thing I worked on was finally shown! Which means I can talk about it (to the extent it was shown)… but in the interest of social media hygiene and people not getting weird I’m not going to disclose it here. I was only at Insomniac as an intern anyways, I did not end up with a full time position. There’s no point asking me questions cause I don’t have the answers (nor would I answer questions if I did have the answers!). Still, I don’t want to risk people being weird. I have no intent on going back into the games industry professionally anyways. Insomniac was great, but my interests lay elsewhere nowadays.
Writing has been going splendidly. I have written about 3000 words for Chasing Elysium over the past few weeks… that’s so much… how did that happen… Thursday is editing day so time for some editing I suppose!
