Moving Week

The week has finally arrived! We’re moving!!!

We started over the weekend with a few smaller things, but the BIG move was Monday. All of our furniture (I have decided that mattresses are evil) and the major things we need to be able to live at the new place. Now we’re moving smaller batches over each day.

As of yesterday my desktop is set up in a temporary place, but oof it hurts to be sitting on the floor. My desk is broken into two parts right now, HOPEFULLY it’ll be movable as-is and I don’t need to take it apart further, but that should be coming over in the next day or two.

The new place is slightly bigger and cheaper than the old place. The rooms are slightly smaller, but we have an additional bedroom (our office) and a dining room. My bedroom is a perfect size I think. My mattress and shelves fit perfectly, with plenty of room to walk around the bed and reach the closet. Old place… not nearly enough room to use the closet. Partially because of my desk. Having an office very nicely solves that problem!

I was able to get most of the recording I needed for the month done before we started moving. There’s still a little bit left to go that I should be able to get fairly fast once my tech is back in full working order. At the very least, I have videos through most/all of October once videos start back up pretty soon. I think FFXIV returns next week? And then the new LP starts the week after.

Speaking of, I will be getting the poll for the LP after this next one up shortly. Hopefully in the next day or so. It’s been such a busy week!

My work schedule has been absolutely mangled and it sucks. They’ve got me on 10am-7pm shifts when I normally work 7am-4pm. On the one hand it is shockingly disruptive. On the other hand, I’m rather grateful it’s at its worst during moving week cause that means I can wake up at my usual time, bike up to the old place, do some packing and cleaning, then come back down after 2 hours of that and have another hour to relax before I go to work. It’s working nicely for me!

Anyways the tl;dr is this week has been BUSY. It’ll calm down soon. We almost have everything over, then it’s just wrapping up the cleaning.
