Monthly Update - September 2025
Hey all! Welcome to my monthly update covering my Let's Plays and other projects, cross-posted to my personal blog and to my Patreon. Read on to see what I've been up to!
Let's Plays
First up is the progress on my Let's Plays which are posted to YouTube and Patreon.
Chained Echoes
I have recorded the opening section of act 4 and gone on a somewhat extended break from recording. I recorded so much at once. There's a very good part coming up for y'all. I'm so excited. Patrons have already seen the first part of it.
I also started playing Ashes of Elrant on my own time and learned how it's structured. Unfortunately I won't be able to place it in the middle of act 4 like I planned. It'll come after the main LP is done. I may save the "post-game" of Chained Echoes for after Ashes of Elrant as a few things carry over from Ashes of Elrant to the main game to my understanding. Not confirmed, but considering.
I will be returning to recording Chained Echoes soon. So close to the end!
Final Fantasy XIV
The public releases are approaching the fifth zone, while on the recording end I am nearly done with the lv 58 crafting and gathering quests. Not much to say, it's going smoothly.
Miscellaneous
I crashed my bike about two weeks ago! It was not fun! My roommates came and patched me up enough to limp home with my bike (we couldn't get the bike in the car), then we got me properly fixed up at home. I've been healing, but videos had to take a week break and I took a two week break from recording. Nearly back to 100%. The outward injuries are basically all healed up. My wrist still hurts and my ribs still hurt in the morning, but I have a wrist brace now and the ribs only hurt right after waking up.
Bike's (mostly) ok too if you were worried about that!
Got my website moved from neocities to a proper host (nearlyfreespeech.net) which is exciting! The blog is now only being updated on https://www.pixelkitty.org/, so those viewing this on patreon who are interested in the blog update your links!
Finally, I've been doing weekly devlogs for my game, Chasing Elysium, on my blog every Sunday. Not showing a lot yet, but I may start including screenshots as it becomes more interesting to look at.
Coming Up
Final Fantasy XIV continues as we progress through the fifth zone! Chained Echoes should be finishing act 3 soon, after which it will go on a 1 week break!
